Terms of service
Last updated 14 August 2026.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of Pilotdeck (the "Service"), an
automated content platform for research, drafting, review, publishing, and deployment of
website content across one or more sites you manage in your account. By creating an account
or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for
activity that occurs under it. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
2. Subscription Plans & Billing Cycles
The Service is offered on subscription plans, billed either monthly or annually
through our payment processor, Stripe. Annual billing is offered at a discount over monthly
billing. Fees are charged in advance for each billing period and, except where required by
law or stated otherwise in these Terms, are non-refundable.
3. Upgrades, Downgrades & Plan Changes
- Upgrading to a higher plan takes effect immediately. Stripe prorates the charge for the
remainder of your current billing cycle.
- Downgrading to a lower plan is scheduled to take effect at the end of your current
billing period — you keep your current plan's access until then, and the change applies
automatically at renewal.
- You may reverse a scheduled downgrade at any time before it takes effect by selecting your
current plan again.
4. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. Cancelling stops
future renewals but does not end your access immediately — you keep full access until the end
of the billing period you already paid for. After that date, your subscription becomes
inactive.
Cancelling removes your content, setup, and history at the end of that period. If you only
need a temporary break, consider a pause instead of a full cancellation where that option is
available to you.
5. Payment Method & Invoices
Your payment method and invoice history are managed through the Stripe-hosted billing portal,
accessible from your account's billing settings. You are responsible for keeping a valid
payment method on file. If a payment fails, we may retry the charge and/or restrict access to
paid features until payment succeeds.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to publish unlawful, infringing, or malicious content, to
interfere with the Service's operation, or to attempt to access accounts or data that are not
yours.
7. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you create, import, or publish through the Service. You
grant us the limited right to store, process, and transmit that content solely to provide the
Service to you (for example, generating drafts, publishing to your connected sites, and
displaying analytics).
8. Our Intellectual Property
The Service itself — including its software, design, and underlying technology — is owned by
us or our licensors and is not transferred to you by these Terms.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party providers, including Stripe for billing and payments,
and, where you connect them, services such as Google Search Console and your content
management system. Your use of those integrations is also subject to that provider's own
terms.
10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied
warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we
are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the
Service.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violation of these Terms, non-payment,
or as required by law. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any
time, as described in Section 4.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated
effective date above. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of
the revised Terms.
